Kin’Gongolo Kiniata by Nizar Saleh (2026, 25’)

Kin’Gongolo Kiniata, a band of sonic eccentrics from Kinshasa, forges raw, electric music from scrap metal and sheer will. As they ready their defiant sound for the world stage, their dreams collide with the rigid reality of unjust immigration laws designed to deter young Congolese artists. Nizar Saleh’s film is a potent tribute to creativity under pressure, and to sound as an act of resistance.
